MEDIA & PRESS GUIDE

Media & Press Guide

Thank you for your interest in Uedu. When a news report, campus announcement or public document mentions the platform, please follow the naming and attribution guidance on this page so that readers receive accurate information.

Platform name and correct usage

The formal name is Uedu 優學院; in English contexts use Uedu alone, capitalised on the first letter only (not UEDU in full caps, and not uedu in all lower case).

Please use uedu.tw as the platform URL (the permanent primary domain).

Uedu is the name of the platform; ClassroomGPT (the AI course assistant), AIDA (the learning companion) and UeduGPTs are names of features within it. When reporting on a feature, please keep the platform name — for example, “Uedu’s AI course assistant (ClassroomGPT)”. Please avoid referring to the platform by a feature name alone, such as “the ClassroomGPT platform”.

Development attribution

Uedu is independently developed and operated by Chia-Kai Chang, Assistant Professor at the Center for General Education, National Central University. It is a cross-institutional education platform, provided free of charge to students and faculty at higher education institutions across Taiwan and at partner schools. Development is led by the developer personally; it is not a system developed or built by any single adopting institution.

"Uedu, used by students and faculty at [X] University, is a cross-institutional education platform independently developed by Assistant Professor Chia-Kai Chang of National Central University."

Correct: development attribution is stated clearly, and the adopting institution is described as a user.

"Uedu, the AI teaching assistant developed / built / deployed by [X] University"

Incorrect: Uedu was not developed by the adopting institution, and this wording misattributes its development.

Listing Uedu alongside an institution's own in-house systems and describing them collectively as that institution's "research and development achievements"

Incorrect: even without the word "developed", presenting them side by side leads readers to misattribute the platform.

About institution-specific entry points (subdomains): to help students and faculty recognise the platform and sign in, Uedu provides entry pages of the form {institution-abbreviation}.uedu.tw. These pages identify the institution by name in text only and do not use its emblem or any other official visual identity. This is entry-point design on a cross-institutional platform: such a page is not the institution's official website and is neither authorised nor endorsed by it, nor does it imply that the system was developed, built or operated by that institution.
